Yusra is an operations and administrative professional with experience improving organizational effectiveness and supporting cross-functional teams. She is skilled in defining deliverables, tracking milestones and promoting transparency.

At Proximity, Yusra contributes to operational excellence by managing day-to-day workflows, supporting executive coordination, and helping build processes that enable efficiency and team alignment. She brings strong experience in onboarding, training development, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Yusra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a professional Project Management certification, and additional training in Lean Six Sigma.

Claire brings a dual lens to the Proximity team coming from both an arts and business background. She has worked closely with government, arts and healthcare leaders across Canada.

Claire has led a variety of projects at Proximity including a creative film project to influence the strategic prioritization of equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism in Ontario hospitals, and a series of CEO roundtables. She continues to drive Proximity’s strategy through project leadership.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management and is an MBA candidate at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Emily's career has spanned both business and health. Most recently, she was the Research Manager for a food and health policy research lab at Dalhousie University. Her professional career and background in high performance sport have positioned her well to join the Proximity team and support a variety of strategic leadership initiatives.

Emily is a Director on the Row Ontario Board of Directors and serves on the Provincial Advisory Committee and Accountability Committee at Rowing Canada.

She holds a Master of Human Kinetics, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Communications, and completed the Public Leadership Credential from the Harvard Kennedy School. Emily is an EMBA candidate at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

As Director of Strategic Research at Proximity, Christine pursues strategically aligned research initiatives in support of the priorities that matter most to Ontario hospital leadership. She has led research partnerships with the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Ivey Business School.

Christine has held various roles at the Ontario Hospital Association, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University of Western Ontario.

Christine has a Master of Arts in health geography, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in geography and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Andrea leads all aspects of communications and brand strategy for Proximity. She first joined the team to launch Proximity – its name, brand and mandate – to Ontario hospital leadership.

Andrea’s experience spans corporate communications and digital strategy in the media and health care sectors. She previously worked at Michael Garron Hospital and led communications for many of the Hospital’s priorities and change initiatives.

Andrea serves on the board of Eastview Neighbourhood Community Centre.

She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in media and information studies, as well as certificates in digital communications and strategic public relations.

Milan is a communications professional with a strong strategic and technical background encompassing roles in PR, social media, and communications strategy. His prior experience includes non-profit work focusing on social and environmental issues.

Milan is tasked with the upkeep of strategic communications and brand reputation for Proximity.

He has a Master in Communications Practice from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University.

In her 20 years with the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and since her move to Proximity, Lina has mastered the components of corporate operations including finance and risk, human resources and team management and board administration. Lina is leveraging this experience in her role at Proximity to lead operational excellence.

Amongst her achievements, Lina led HealthAchieve, the largest event in the Canadian health care sector at the time.

Lina has a Bachelor of Business Management and a diploma in human resources administration.

Jennifer’s professional journey has encompassed various roles within the healthcare space, ranging from university research to working in government, telemedicine and primary care. Her work has consistently revolved around stakeholder engagement, health information management, quality improvement and strategic planning. She is passionate about transforming data and research into meaningful information and actionable strategies.

Jennifer has a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Annie came to the health care sector after spending 15 years in executive development at IMD, Switzerland and then heading up global learning at Deloitte.

In 2016, she joined the Ontario Hospital Association to transform their learning division and in early 2021 she was appointed as inaugural President and CEO of Proximity.

Annie served as vice chair of the board of Concordia University and was on the executive of the board of St Mary’s Hospital, both in Montreal.

Annie holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in history. She is a professionally trained facilitator in the field of strategy.

Jenika joined the health care sector from the field of higher education. In her previous role as a strategist at a public college, she developed and shaped institutional planning processes and initiatives. She is leading work on Board Chair succession at Proximity.

Jenika serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Treatment Network, where she is a member of the Governance and Service Excellence Committee.

She has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Development Studies and certificates in project management and change management.
